Its been a great final battle between these two cricketing nations, but the result of this fourth test became draw as unfortunate weather. But, as India took a lead before in the series so they won the series by 2-1. Its an historical moment for Team India as no other Asian country can beat Australia in test series in their den. India also tried every year but ultimately the dream comes true in this time.

India played overall well in every match to withstand Aussies in their ground. In this match, India won the toss and elected to bat first.


Indian openers started strongly, Mayank Agarwal again scored a brilliant 77 top the order. But, after the dismissal of Rahul, the inform batsman Cheteshwar Pujara took the responsibility. Missed out his double ton for only 7 runs, scored 193 with 22 fours.

India declared on 622, with the help of a brilliant innings of Rishav Pant, he made 159 remained not out and Rabindra Jadeja at the end with 81 runs. Only Nathan Lyon picked up 4 wickets, better than rest of the other bowlers of Australia.

In reply of this big score, Aussies were all out in 300, got follow on. Only Marcus Harris in the beginning scored 79 runs, otherwise none other batsman was able to score half century at least.


Kuldeep Yadav was the main spearhead of the Indian bowling attack, got 5 wickets. Shami and Jadeja took 2 wickets each. Aussies were put to bat again and made only 6 runs before the bad light called the fourth day off. Fifth day was totally ruined by heavy rain, umpires declared the match as draw thus India become the series winner. Cheteshwar Pujara declared player of the match and series, Captain Kohli add another feather in his hat.
