Sri Lanka vs New Zealand 3rd ODI: NZ beat SL by 115 runs
Three back to back wins for New Zealand in the three match ODI series against Sri Lanka. Played outstandingly well in every match and showed great batting and bowling overall performances through the series.
Winning the toss Sri Lanka opted to bowl, but New Zealand proved the decision as wrong. Captain Kane Williamson made a handy half century, 55 runs. But, the veteran Ross Taylor and New comer Henry Nicholls made centuries each to take the total over 300. Ross made 137 runs and Nicholls was not out on 124 with 155 strike rate and 12 fours, 3 sixes.
Lasith Malinga took three wickets but went 9.3 runs per over. New Zealand showed great bowling to all out the Sri Lankan team in just 249. Ish Sodhi took 3, Ferguson took 4 wickets to damage the batting line up of Lanka. Only Thisara Perera scored 83 in 60 balls, otherwise no batsman was there to make a momentum that can win the match. Dickwella and Kushal Perera got a start but could not capitalize to the maximum.
