South Africa vs Pakistan 1st ODI: Pakistan won by 5 wickets

Pakistan won the first One Day match, after the Test Series whitewash against South Africa. They showed better confident exposure in the first match and won the match by 5 wickets and 5 balls in hand. After winning the toss South Africa choose to bat, they built a solid starting in front. Opener Hasim Amla scored a ton, he made 108 runs. With this century Amla beat the record of Virat Kohli, to make 27 centuries in ODIs in 167 matches, whereas the former did it in 169 matches. Though, beating the record with a century, his slow innings is one of the reasons for the defeat in the match. Van Der Dussen made quick 93 and helped South Africa to score 266 runs with loss of just 2 wickets. Hasan Ali and Shadab Khan picked those wickets. In reply of the total, Pakistan also started nicely. Their opener Imam-Ul-Haq scored 86 runs in the beginning of line up. But, the great innings from Babar Azam and Hafeez helped to achieve the total nicely. Mohammad Hafeez was not out on 71 and bought Pakistan home with the precious victory. Pakistan leads the 5 match series with 1-0.
