India’s eye on the T20 Series against New Zealand

India is playing nice cricket recently. They have shown their strength on Test matches and also in One Day International matches. India beat Australia in Test Series and ODI Series in their home. India also snatched the ODI Series against in-form Black Caps recently in their home also. But, for the record, India is not that much strong in T20 International format.

Though, they drew with Australia in recent T20 Series played in December 2018 in Australia, but, their overall record is not showing that much hold on this format. India is in the second position in ICC T20 rankings after Pakistan. India played a total of 110 number of T20 matches and won 69 from them, lost 37 matches. So, this record proves that India needs to improve their game in the shortest format of cricket.

The first T20 match will start against New Zealand on 6th February, 2019. India also want to win this series and want to pick their ranks higher before starting of World Cup 2019. Both openers, Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma are in form and Captain Virat Kohli also in good nick. These will surely boost their batting.

With the pace attack from Shami and Bhuvneshwar Kumar, India’s depth in bowling much improved. Kuldeep Yadav, the magical spinner has the best of economy in world T20 history. His partner Chahal is also bowling nicely from the other end. So, overall India is looking balanced and their eye is on the winning this 3 matches series also.
