Aaron Finch recently said to Australian Cricket Board that he is comfortable to play at any position for Australia in the upcoming ICC ODI World Cup 2019. Board can demote or promote him in any batting line up which suits the circumstances. Finch is not been in a good form recently, and not played any match-winning innings in the last few games.
The Australian Captain said after Warner and Smith joins the team he can demote himself to the bottom of the batting order to push up the runs in the last over’s. David Warner and Steve Smith are joining the team recently and they will play a crucial part for Australia as they did before. The opener, Usman Khawaja played brilliantly in the last ODI series against India and he is continuing his good form regularly.

Warner and Khawaja can make a solid opening pair in front; Smith will get his regular third position in the team. Thus, Finch has to bat either in the fourth position or more down the order. Australia will play with Pakistan before the ODI World Cup starts, so that will be a big chance for Aaron Finch to gather his lost form back before the world cup.
Finch made a lone 50 plus run in his last 8 appearances. Whereas the other partner, Khawaja batted well at the top and likely to remain his opening slot with David Warner. Australia gained some confidence after beating India in their Home, and can also take on Pakistan which is scheduled to start on Friday, 22 March 2019.
