India Creates New Record for Most Consecutive Test Wins at Home




Team India registered a big Test win against Proteas by an innings and 137 runs, and it settles the series by 2-0 win for India over South Africa. With this series win, India recorded the most number of consecutive Test series win at home. It is the consecutive 11th time that India remains unbeaten in Test series. Before this, Australia had that record of getting 10 times consecutive Test series win at their home. Australia did it twice.

But from 2012 India has not registered a single test series defeat till now. India beat West Indies twice, Australia twice, South Africa twice and New Zealand, England, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan once. The last Test match in Pune is also memorable for Captain Virat Kohli as he snatched his career-best highest score of unbeaten 254 which led India to create a mammoth total for South Africa to chase.
